Week Seven | Going Troppo 🏖

Image
SNAPSHOT Everyone said the first six weeks would be the hardest .....and apart from some small expected adjustments here and there, we whipped out our self appointed gold stars and were feeling pretty happy with ourselves......and then we clicked over into Week 7 and I just felt flat....and a bit overwhelmed to be honest, and guilty (because this is a trip of a lifetime right? Seriously what have I got to complain about? 🙄)...... At home I have a miniature debrief with my Mum or my sister most days, it's an under rated counselling  system whereby we share the good and the bad and have a giggle and reassure each other all is okay. And move on. Without it, things just built up! AND I have a tendancy to try and become Chief of Everything 😂 Chief Financial Officer (and more belt tightening which never helps stress levels!!), Social Co-ordinator, Navigational Expert, Travel Consultant, Educator, Mum and Wife (in no particular order Leigh 😳)......And this week I just s

Week Six | Gods Waiting Room.....😇

SNAPSHOT Have you ever heard of a town dubbed "God's Waiting Room?"....evidently it's affectionately used to describe a place whose residents have a bit more life experience than oneself? "sleepy seaside town" is the perfect description for this little ge

Week Five | A Friend is Only a Conversation Away.....

Image
SNAPSHOT I am the the first to admit I can talk under water (Dad always happy to back me up on that one!) but this week it has been more than just talking - we have met the most fabulous people and had conversations about anything and everything - I love listening to personal stories, their background, cultures, losses and triumphs - watching the girls world expand with every conversation had and their confidence growing at being part of those discussions, with people we didn't know from a bar of soap 5 weeks ago. Just imagine? One less turn in the road, one less stop overnight and we wouldn't have met BUT we now have strangers we can now call friends, and feel so lucky to be able to do so❤️ WHERE ON EARTH ARE WE? Ipswich Showground Completely made up for the Grafton debacle, this Showground was run with precision and it was hard to believe we weren't in a Big 4!! Less the jumping pillow and pool granted but with 5 King Charles Cavalier's on o
